Senatsvorsitzender Rainer Niemann im Amt bestätigt

Am 27. April 2016 haben die MitarbeiterInnen der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz die Mitglieder des Senats neu gewählt. >> das Ergebnis

Das Gremium, bestehend aus 13 ProfessorInnen, sechs VertreterInnen der DozentInnen und wissenschaftlichen MitarbeiterInnen sowie einer Vertreterin des allgemeinen Universitätspersonals sowie sechs Studierenden, traf am 22. Juni 2016 zu seiner konstituierenden Sitzung zusammen. In dieser wurde der amtierende Vorsitzende, Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Kfm. Dr. Rainer Niemann, ist seiner Funktion bestätigt und für drei Jahre ab 1. Oktober 2016 wiedergewählt. Ebenso wurde Ao.Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Edith Gößnitzer als stellvertretende Vorsitzende bestätigt. Gerhild Genzecker wurde als Schriftführerin und Sabine Habersack, MSc., als stellvertretende Schriftführerin gewählt.

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Rainer Niemann ist Leiter des Instituts für Unternehmensrechnung und Steuerlehre an der SOWI-Fakultät. Seit 2004 ist Niemann Universitätsprofessor an der Karl-Franzens-Universität, seit 2006 auch stellvertretender Leiter des Center for Accounting Research.
Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen auf den Gebieten Internationale Besteuerung, Besteuerung und Investition sowie Besteuerung und Finanzierungsentscheidungen. Rainer Niemann ist Verfasser von zahlreichen Beiträgen in hochrangigen wissenschaftlichen Fachzeitschriften, unter anderem erhielt er 2012 den Best Paper Award des Verbands der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. für eine internationale Zeitschriftenpublikation.

Long Night of Research: How many languages are there in the world?

These and other questions will be answered during the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz: on Friday, 24 April 2025, from 5 pm to 11 pm, in the University Library. Visitors can immerse themselves in the diversity of languages without travelling far by taking part in a quiz at the station.
