Die Webradio-Beiträge werden mit dem Web-Service von <a href="http://auphonic.com">Auphonic</a> nachbearbeitet.

Auf <a href="http://www.soundportal.at">Radio Soundportal</a> sind die Webradio-Beiträge täglich einmal vormittags und einmal nachmittags zu hören.

Vier Informationsbeiträge sind online, danach Programmpause bis 2. März

Das Webradio der Grazer Universitäten versorgt Studierende, MitarbeiterInnen, Lehrende, Forschende, Alumni sowie alle Interessierten wöchentlich mit vier Informationsbeiträgen. Diese Woche steht Folgendes am Programm:

1) Forschung: "Talente-Aufgebot." Alle drei Jahre geht an der KUG der Wettbewerb "Franz Schubert und die Musik der Moderne" über die Bühne. Internationale Talente versprechen 80 Stunden Kammermusik vom Feinsten in den Festsälen der KUG.

2) Bildung: "E-Books auf dem Prüfstand". Im Jänner verbringen viele Studierenden ihre Zeit in der UB. Doch wie reagieren Bibliotheken auf die verstärkte Nachfrage an E-Books? Hat das gedruckte Buch ausgedient?

3) Campusleben: "Prüfungsstress: So komme ich ans Ziel!" Wer gerade viel zu lernen hat, steht buchstäblich oft unter Stress. Was dieser genau im Körper auslöst und dass Stress nicht immer nur negativ zu bewerten ist, weiß ein Experte der Med Uni Graz.

4) Aktuell gefragt: "Informatik...Wir machen dein Programm!" Unter diesem Motto steht der Ball der Technik am 30. Jänner. Die BesucherInnen erwartet ein abwechslungsreiches Programm, das auch zahlreiche Highlights mit Bezug zur Informatik umfasst.

Neben der erfolgreichen Kooperation mit Radio Soundportal - täglich sind dort die Webradio-Beiträge zu hören - kann man das Programm seit Anfang 2015 auch über die online Plattform Soundcloud beziehen.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.

The Healing Sea: Researchers discover new approaches to treating chronic inflammation in sponges

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
