Sie werden wieder gesucht: die österreichischen Wörter und Sprüche des Jahres 2018

Sie steht wieder an: die Wahl zu den Wörtern des Jahres. Sprachwissenschafter Rudolf Muhr vom Forschungszentrum Österreichisches Deutsch suchte in Kooperation mit der Universität Graz im Herbst wieder nach Wörtern für die Wahl zum Wort und Unwort, Spruch und Unspruch sowie Jugendwort des Jahres. Die Jury hat eine Vorauswahl getroffen und die Kandidatenwörter für die Wahl zum Wort des Jahres auf die Webseite gestellt. Darunter sind unter anderem Sieger früherer Jahre wie etwa "Schweigekanzler" (2005), die sich der Wahl stellen. Gegenkandidaten in der Rubrik sind "BVT-Affäre", "Digitalisierung", "Ehe für alle" oder "Gaulreiter". In der Kategorie Unwort stehen "Anlandeplattform", "Arbeitszeitflexibilisierung", "Listenhund" oder "stichhaltige Gerüchte". Als Jugendwort steht etwa "Oida" hoch im Kurs.

Fakt ist: Gesucht werden alle Wörter und Sprüche, die in diesem Kalenderjahr in Österreich besonders aufgefallen sind. Nach der Vorauswahl sind nun wieder die ÖsterreicherInnen am Zug. Dazu gibt es die Möglichkeit auf der Webseite http://www.oedeutsch.at/OEWORT/ zu wählen. Die Sieger und die Kür der Jury werden dann - wie jedes Jahr schon traditionell - am 6. Dezember über die APA bekannt gegeben.
