Das USI bietet wieder 360 Sportkurse, rechtzeitig ans Anmelden denken

Während des Studiums nicht nur das Gehirn, sondern auch die Muskeln trainieren. Das Universitätssportinstitut – weit über die Campusgrenzen als USI bekannt – bietet dazu knapp 360 Kurse. „Die Palette reicht von klassischen Sportarten wie Schwimmen und Ballspielen bis hin zum Trendsport wie Paragleiten, Spinning oder Schitourengehen“, weiß USI-Leiter Mag. Gert Bernat. Die Sportkurse werden zu günstigen Preisen angeboten und sind sehr schnell ausgebucht, daher heißt es auch fürs Wintersemester 2016/2017 rechtzeitig anmelden! Neu im Programm ist etwa Sportkegeln, mehr Kurse gibt es bei Pilates, Yoga und Geräteturnen.

Anmeldungen für sämtliche Veranstaltungen des USI erfolgen im Universitäts-Sportinstitut Graz, Hauptgebäude der Uni Graz, sowie online über MY USI DATA.

Ab Dienstag, 20. September 2016, 8 Uhr werden 5000 Kursplätze blockweise über MY USI DATA online vergeben. Für diese Online-Inskription müssen die TeilnehmerInnen bis Freitag, 16. September, 12 Uhr in MY USI DATA registriert sein und ein MY USI DATA Passwort erhalten haben (Das Passwort können sich eingetragene Personen selbst an die angegebene Mailadresse zuschicken lassen). Studierende können die Erstregistrierung über die persönliche Visitenkarte auf UNIGRAZonline durchführne (Datenübertragung über Nacht). Alle anderen Personen (Bedienstete, AbsolventInnen) müssen die Erstregistrierung persönlich im USI Büro (Hauptgebäude) vornehmen.
5000 weitere Kursplätze werden ab Montag, 26. September 2016, 8 Uhr vor Ort im USI Büro vergeben.

Chemical Christmas show at the University of Graz: An explosive evening at the Schauspielh

At the beginning of December, the University of Graz transformed the theater into a laboratory: as part of “Chemical Life,” teacher training students staged a chemical Christmas show for Styrian school classes—complete with ethanol rockets, nitrogen snow, and glowing effects. An evening designed to inspire interest in studying chemistry.

Train by train: Koralm railway accelerates exchange between the Universities

Lectures at the University of Klagenfurt in the morning, seminars at the University of Graz in the afternoon: Austria's longest tunnel and a journey time of around 45 minutes make it easy. The Koralm railway increases the speed of networking between the two university locations. The collaboration builds on existing cooperation - for example in the areas of teacher training, Slavic studies and as employers, the universities are well coordinated.
