Im Mittelpunkt stehen die zentralen Services

Die UNI-IT präsentiert neue Webseite für Studierende. Service und klare Struktur stehen im Mittelpunkt

„Schlank und übersichtlich“ ist das Motto der neuen Studierenden-Homepage der UNI-IT. In den vergangenen Wochen wurden Services neu definiert und die Informationen auf das Wesentliche reduziert. Im Zentrum der Webseite steht der Servicekatalog auf der Startseite, einfache Symbole erleichtern das rasche Auffinden der Leistungen. Über den Punkt „Ich möchte…“ gelangen Studierende direkt und sehr schnell zu den gefragtesten Infos.

Der Anleitungsteil wurde vollkommen umorganisiert: Neu sind die praxisorientierten und kombinierbaren Filtermöglichkeiten, mit denen sich sehr schnell Anleitungen zu bestimmten Themen, Betriebssystemen oder auch Spezialthemen finden lassen. Die bisherigen Hilfetexte wurden überarbeitet und stehen jetzt sowohl in einer Version „kurz & bündig“ als auch in einer detaillieren Form mit Screenshots zur Verfügung.

Apropos: Am 10. Mai 2016 veranstaltet die UNI-IT wieder ihre jährliche Tagung „ict@university“; diesmal steht das Thema „Digitalisierung & Mobilität 2020“ im Fokus.

The astrophysicists have developed an AI-supported method that makes even the smallest structures on the Sun visible. The scientists are convinced that this will bring about a lasting change in solar observation and that the new method can be used for the planned European Solar Telescope.

Long Night of Research: How many languages are there in the world?

From a linguistic perspective, there are worlds of difference between Bern, Berlin and Vienna. A dialect impersonator will demonstrate live just how varied German can sound. How many languages are there in the world? What are their distinctive features? Which of these are spoken in Austria? These and other questions will be answered during the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz: on Friday, 24 April 2025, from 5 pm to 11 pm, in the University Library. Visitors can immerse themselves in the diversity of languages without travelling far by taking part in a quiz at the station.
