Studienclub an der Uni Graz bietet Sommer-Kurse in Mathematik

Die besten Argumente für Kurvendiskussionen, die echte Logik hinter Logarithmen: Wer in den Sommerferien neue Einblicke in die Mathematik gewinnen möchte, bekommt an der Universität Graz die Gelegenheit dazu. Interessierte SchülerInnen nach der zehnten und elften Schulstufe können in der ersten Septemberwoche in Kleingruppen zu maximal sechs Personen, gecoacht von speziell ausgebildeten Lehramtsstudierenden, den Schulstoff auf völlig neue Art entdecken. „Fehler und Fragen sind dabei erwünscht“, betont Organisator Bernd Thaller, der das erfolgreiche Wiener Projekt heuer erstmals in Graz realisiert. „Es geht darum, ein besseres mathematisches Verständnis und mehr Sicherheit im Umgang mit der Materie zu gewinnen – auch im Hinblick auf die Matura“, so der Fachdidaktiker.
Der Studienclub findet von 2. bis 6. September 2019 jeweils von 9 bis 13 Uhr statt und kostet 50 Euro pro TeilnehmerIn. Eine Anmeldung ist noch bis 5. Juli möglich.

The Koralm railway increases the speed of networking between the two university locations. The Austrian Science Fund FWF has selected the Doctoral Programme in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Graz for funding from the Doc.funds. Six young scientists will be funded for 3.5 years. They will gain fundamentally new insights into the origins of the world.
