Die Studierenden präsentierten ihre Forschungsergebnisse

JungforscherInnen präsentierten Arbeiten bei NAWI-DocDay

NachwuchsforscherInnen der Doktoratsschulen "Molekulare Biologie und Biochemie" (Uni Graz) und "Molekulare Biowissenschaften und Biotechnologie" (TU Graz) stehen einmal im Semester mit ihren Forschungen im Rampenlicht. Geleitet wird die Doktoratsschule an der Uni Graz von Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ellen Zechner und an der TU Graz von Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Günther Daum.

Beim DocDay am 12. Juli konnten die Studierenden der Universität Graz und der TU Graz ihre Arbeiten und ihre Forschungsergebnisse vor einem breiten Publikum präsentieren. Der DocDay findet jedes Semester abwechselnd an der TU Graz oder an Uni Graz statt und wird jeweils von zwei Studierenden der jeweiligen Universitäten organisiert. Unterstützt wird der Minikongress von NAWI Graz. Anders wie auf fachspezifischen Kongressen präsentieren die DoktorandInnen aus verschiedenen Fachgebieten der Molekularen Biowissenschaften ihre Arbeiten, so dass das Spektrum der Präsentationen umfassend ist und die Forschungsfelder innerhalb der beiden Doktoratsschulen widergespiegelt werden. In den vergangenen Jahren haben immer über 100 DoktorandInnen und ArbeitsgruppenleiterInnen an den DocDays teilgenommen, so dass die Studierenden ihre Ergebnisse mit anderen Studierenden und ArbeitsgruppenleiterInnen anderer Fachrichtung diskutieren können.

Zusätzlich laden die OrganisatorInnen externe Wissenschafterinnen ein, die ebenfalls eine Vortrag halten und gerne mit Studierenden in Kontakt treten um ihre Projekte zu diskutieren.

Yet this is precisely where the medical promise of her research lies: one day, clinical data will be used to create a digital twin of the heart – a virtual model that will enable a better understanding of diseases and allow for more personalised treatment plans. She will be presenting her research at the ‘ECMTB 2026’ mathematics conference.
