Buchpräsentation und Diskussion zur Landespolitik an der Uni Graz

Gestern, Dienstag, stellten die Herausgeber Klaus Poier und Bernd Wieser vom Institut für Öffentliches Recht und Politikwissenschaft der Uni Graz ihr neues Buch zum Steiermärkischen Landesrecht vor. Dieser zweite Band einer dreiteiligen Reihe widmet sich dem Organisations,- Dienst- und Abgabenrecht. Band drei zum Besonderen Verwaltungsrecht wurde bereits 2010 veröffentlicht, Band 1 zum Verfassungsrecht soll in rund zwei Jahren erscheinen. Forschungsdekan Stefan Storr betonte bei der Präsentation, dass der Fakultät die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Land Steiermark ein großes Anliegen sei: „Wir sehen es auch als unsere Pflicht, uns mit aktuellen Themen zu befassen und mit ExpertInnen aus der Praxis auszutauschen.“ Landesrat Christopher Drexler unterstrich in seinem Beitrag die Bedeutung des Föderalismus und betonte, dass die Publikation der Wissenschafter ein grundlegendes Werk für Politik und Verwaltung ist. Weiters erörterte er die Vor- und Nachteile des neuen Beamtendienst- bzw. Besoldungsrechts. Im Anschluss tauschten Landesamtsdirektor Helmut Hirt, Bezirkshauptmann Alexander Majcan und Wolfgang Wlattnig, der Letier der Gemeindeabteilung, ihre Erfahrungen mit den Strukturreformen auf Landes-, Bezirks- und Gemeindeebene aus.

The scientists are convinced that this will bring about a lasting change in solar observation and that the new method can be used for the planned European Solar Telescope.
