Der Grazer Universitätsverlag präsentiert die Neuerscheinungen 2019

Unter dem Motto „Publizieren.Analog.Digital. Neuerscheinungen 2019“ präsentiert der Grazer Universitätsverlag gemeinsam mit den Kooperationspartnern Leykam Verlag und Unipress Verlag am 26. November 2019 ab 17 Uhr die aktuell in diesem Jahr publizierten Titel. Schwerpunkt ist das Publizieren im digitalen Raum: Die Universität Graz forciert die Veröffentlichungen wissenschaftlicher Beiträge als open access-Publikation; auch der Universitätsverlag ist auf der Plattform unipub vertreten. Eingeladen wird in das neue Eingangs-Foyer, das Bibliothek und Hauptgebäude miteinander verbindet.

Inhaltlich steht die Veranstaltung im Zeichen von Genderforschung, Integration von Geflüchteten sowie dem Thema Literatursoziologie und der historischen Kochbuchforschung. In kurzen AutorInnengesprächen werden die Themen vorgestellt und besprochen, gedruckte Werke können käuflich vor Ort erworben werden.

Fotokalender 2020 für die Wand
Präsentiert wird auch der Kalender 2020 des Grazer Universitätsverlages, der, ganz nach dem Motto #ubistneu, den Umbau der Universitätsbibliothek dokumentiert und Einblicke in das neue Gebäude gibt. Bestellungen sind ab sofort zum Stückpreis von 8,90 Euro unter universitaetsverlag(at)uni-graz.at möglich. Gestaltet wurde er von Roman Klug, Grafikdesigner an der Uni Graz.

Chemical Christmas show at the University of Graz: An explosive evening at the Schauspielh

Train by train: Koralm railway accelerates exchange between the Universities

Lectures at the University of Klagenfurt in the morning, seminars at the University of Graz in the afternoon: Austria's longest tunnel and a journey time of around 45 minutes make it easy. The Koralm railway increases the speed of networking between the two university locations. The collaboration builds on existing cooperation - for example in the areas of teacher training, Slavic studies and as employers, the universities are well coordinated.

The Austrian Science Fund FWF has selected the Doctoral Programme in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Graz for funding from the Doc.funds. Six young scientists will be funded for 3.5 years. They will gain fundamentally new insights into the origins of the world.
