Im Juni nationale und internationale Tageszeitungen kostenlos und bequem am Campus lesen – PressReader macht es möglich

Ein schneller Blick in den Standard, die Neue Zürcher Zeitung oder gar in den Guardian muss nicht aufwendig sein. Studierende und Uni-Bedienstete haben nun im Monat Juni die Möglichkeit campusweit kostenlos auf das Angebot der Plattform „PressReader“ zurückzugreifen. PressReader wird im Hinblick auf den kommenden Umbau der Universitätsbibliothek getestet, da es damit möglich ist sowohl weiterhin die wichtigsten Tageszeitungen zur Verfügung zu stellen als auch das Angebot wesentlich zu vergrößern.

Alle Angehörigen der Universität Graz können bis 30. Juni 2016 nicht nur österreichische oder bekannte internationale Zeitungen wie die Neue Zürcher Zeitung, die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, The Guardian, Le Monde, Corriere della Sera, The Wall Street Journal Europe … lesen, sondern auch Nachrichtaen aus mehr als hundert Ländern wie zum Beispiel Australien, China, Japan, Russland oder Brasilien.

Die PC-Version für PressReader ist am Campus im Netz der Universität und mit VPN zugänglich. Für mobile Geräte wird eine App für iOS, Android, Windows und Blackberry von PressReader angeboten. Um auf diesem Weg zugreifen zu können, muss man zunächst in Wlan-Netz „eduroam“ eingeloggt sein. Zeitungen können dann auf das mobile Gerät heruntergeladen werden und auch offline gelesen werden bzw. gibt es die Option für alle Geräte, dass einem Artikel vorgelesen werden.

The Koralm railway increases the speed of networking between the two university locations. The collaboration builds on existing cooperation - for example in the areas of teacher training, Slavic studies and as employers, the universities are well coordinated.
