Preisgekrönte Absolventinnen

Sarah Schimeczek erforschte die Grazer Kaffeehauskultur von ihren Anfängen bis in die Gegenwart und erhielt dafür den Schölnast-Stiftungspreis.

Barbara Rauter und Sarah Schimeczek wurden für ihre Abschlussarbeiten geehrt.

"Biologische Abfallbehandlung in der Steiermark und ihr Beitrag zum Klimaschutz" ist der Titel der Master-Arbeit von Barbara Rauter, für die die Absolventin der Uni Graz kürzlich mit einem Hans-Roth-Umweltpreis geehrt wurde. Die mit je 2000 Euro dotierte Auszeichnung übergab Umweltminister Andrä Rupprechter auch an Melanie Togetzer von der Montanuniversität Leoben und an Dana Vyzinkarova von der Universität Wien. Stifter Hans Roth will mit dem Preis junge AkademikerInnen fördern, die mit ihren Erkenntnissen wertvolle Impulse für Unternehmen setzen.

Ebenfalls ausgezeichnet wurde die Dissertation von Sarah Schimeczek mit dem Titel "Prachtcafé versus Milchmariandl: Grazer Kaffeehauskultur vor dem Hintergrund der europäischen Kaffeeküche". Sie erhielt den ersten von drei "Schölnast-Stiftungspreisen", die alle zwei Jahre für Volks- und Landeskunde verliehen werden.
