Die Beratungsstelle sowie die KinderUni sind in die Elisabethstraße 41 gesiedelt

Ein neues Quartier teilen sich seit Juni 2016 Mag. Irene Trummer, MA, von der Beratungsstelle und die MitarbeiterInnen der KinderUni, Jutta Fenk-Esterbauer, MA, Gabriela Tröbinger, MA und Corinna Schloffer: Sie sind gemeinsam in die Räumlichkeiten der Elisabethstraße 41 gezogen.

Beratungsstelle für MitarbeiterInnen
Seit April 2013 steht Irene Trummer als Lebens- und Sozialberaterin allen MitarbeiterInnen der Uni Graz bei sämtlichen Lebensfragen zur Seite. Rund 90 Personen haben sie in den dreieinhalb Jahren aufgesucht und über 580 Beratungen hat Trummer in dieser Zeit durchgeführt. Seit Kurzem ist die Informationsbroschüre auch in englischer Sprache erhältlich, Beratungen werden auch auf Englisch angeboten.

KinderUniGraz
Auch die MitarbeiterInnen der KinderUni sind bereits voll im Vorsemester-Programm aktiv: Heute startet die herbstliche Workshop-Woche für 3. und 4. Volksschulklassen sowie 1. und 2. Klassen der Unterstufe mit insgesamt 35 Workshops - alle sind ausgebucht.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
