Lernen im Netz und Urlaubs-Italienisch: Plattform "iMooX" startet buntem Programm in das Sommersemester. Mehr als 9.000 HörerInnen sind bereits dabei.

Der Frühling naht und der Sommer ganz bestimmt. In diesem Semester wartet die MOOC-Plattform "iMooX", die von der Universität Graz und TU Graz bespielt wird, wieder mit tollen und kostenlosen Online-Vorlesungen auf. Im Trend liegen, neben einem MOOC über die Europäische Union, Kurse zu den Themen "Lernen im Netz", "Lebenszyklusorientierter Hochbau", "Entrepreneurship for Engineers" oder "Gesellschaftliche Aspekte der Informationstechnologie". Für Sprachbegeisterte, die im nächsten Auslandssemester oder Italienurlaub mit besonderen Kenntnissen auf sich aufmerksam machen möchten, gibt es den MOOC "Ja, das klingt doch schon italienischer".

Hinter der Inititiave stecken Dr. Michael Kopp von der Uni Graz und sein Kollege Dr. Martin Ebner von der Technischen Universität. Gemeinsam tüftelten die beiden InformationswissenschafterInnen an der Etablierung der seit Dezember 2013 existierenden Plattform. iMooX steht allen Lehrenden offen, die MOOCs in Form von freien und kostenlisen Bildungsressourcen anbieten möchten. iMooX wurde 2015 mit dem Staatspreis für Erwachsenenbildung ausgezeichnet. Mehr als 9000 HörerInnen folgen den Online-Kursen der beiden Grazer Universitäten bereits.

Long Night of Research: How many languages are there in the world?

These and other questions will be answered during the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz: on Friday, 24 April 2025, from 5 pm to 11 pm, in the University Library. Visitors can immerse themselves in the diversity of languages without travelling far by taking part in a quiz at the station.
