Mobilität auf neuen Wegen

Uni Graz ist erfolgreichste Hochschule Österreichs bei der Erasmus Mundus-Antragsrunde 2013: acht neue Programme

Großer Erfolg für die Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz bei der Antragsrunde 2013 für das Erasmus Mundus-Programm. "Die Uni Graz ist an insgesamt acht von der Europäischen Kommission zur Förderung ausgewählten Erasmus Mundus Aktion 2-Projekten beteiligt und kann somit an die Erfolge der Vorjahre anknüpfen", freut sich Sabine Pendl, Leiterin des Büros für internationale Beziehungen. 

Als koordinierende Einrichtung eines Projektes und als Partnerin in sieben weiteren Projekten ist die Universität Graz nicht nur Österreichs erfolgreichste Hochschule im Erasmus Mundus Aktion 2 Mobilitätsprogramm, sondern liegt auch im internationalen Vergleich im Spitzenfeld. "Die aktive Rolle in Erasmus Mundus Aktion 2 und die damit verbundene Zusammenarbeit mit unzähligen internationalen Hochschuleinrichtungen ermöglicht es der Uni Graz, ihr Profil als starke Kooperationspartnerin zu konsolidieren und weiter auszubauen", bestätigt Sabine Pendl.

Erasmus Mundus unterstützt Projekte in drei Aktionen, wobei Aktion 2 Mobilitätsprogramme mit verschiedenen Drittstaatenregionen finanziert.

Im Rahmen der genehmigten Erasmus Mundus Aktion 2-Projekte können sowohl Studierende als auch MitarbeiterInnen der Universität Graz von finanziell geförderten Studien-, Lehr- und/oder Forschungsaufenthalten an Universitäten in diversen Drittstaatenregionen profitieren. Gleichzeitig wird die Universität Graz im Rahmen der Mobilitätsprojekte als Gastuniversität für StipendiatInnen von Partnerinstitutionen aus den Drittstaatenregionen fungieren. 

"Als besonders erfreulich ist hervorzuheben, dass das von der Universität Graz seit 2009 koordinierte JoinEU-SEE Projekt mit den Ländern des Westlichen Balkans nun bereits zum fünften Mal in Folge genehmigt wurde", so Pendl.

Mit der langjährigen Koordination des JoinEU-SEE Projektes hat sich die Universität Graz mittlerweile als Expertin bei der Durchführung von Erasmus Mundus Aktion 2-Projekten etabliert. Mit dem neuen Namen “JoinEU-SEE > PENTA – EU & South Eastern Europe: Participating, Exchanging and Networking in a Transnational Alliance for Internationalization in Higher Education” knüpft die fünfte Auflage des Projektes zwar an die Vorgängerprojekte an, misst jedoch gleichzeitig der verstärkten Kooperation sowie der Nachhaltigkeit der Projektaktivitäten eine besondere Bedeutung zu. Der Bewerbungsaufruf für JoinEU-SEE > PENTA wird kommenden Herbst veröffentlicht werden. 

Die sieben Projekte, in denen die Universität Graz als Partnerin aktiv ist, werden, - wie auch in den Vorjahren - von renommierten europäischen Universitäten koordiniert.
