Migration im Museum

Studierende der Universität Graz präsentieren in fünf Ausstellungen eine kritische Perspektive auf die Geschichte.

Was ist schon wirklich heimisch? Wo liegen die Wurzeln der einzelnen Kulturgüter? Woher stammen die Menschen der Region? Einen kritischen Blick auf unsere Geschichte eröffnen Studierende der Universität Graz gemeinsam mit fünf kleinen Museen. In Bad Aussee, Eisenerz, Bruck/Mur, Ligist und Bad Radkersburg haben sie Dauerausstellungen umgestaltet und neue Forschungserkenntnisse eingebracht. Aus einer neuen Perspektive erfahren die BesucherInnen nun spannende Migrationsgeschichten von Menschen in und um die beteiligten Regionen. Zudem wird gezeigt, dass auch Wissen, Ideen, Technologien und verschiedenste Kulturgüter von einem Ort zum anderen wandern.
Die beteiligten Institutionen sind das Kammerhofmuseum Bad Aussee, das Museum im Alten Rathaus in Eisenerz, das Stadtmuseum Bruck an der Mur, das Museum im Schmiedhiaslhammer in Ligist sowie das Museum im Alten Zeughaus Bad Radkersburg.

On the trail of the Big Bang: University of Graz receives 1.5 million euros for doctoral programmes

The Austrian Science Fund FWF has selected the Doctoral Programme in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Graz for funding from the Doc.funds. Six young scientists will be funded for 3.5 years. They will gain fundamentally new insights into the origins of the world.

From trans women and knee prostheses: sports science prizes awarded

Walking better with a prosthesis, successfully getting rid of excess weight, training more effectively, more fairness for trans people in sport: these were the topics addressed by the students at the University of Graz who were awarded the sports science prizes for their Master's theses on 3 December 2025.
