An der Universität Graz forscht und lehrt Gunda Werner unter anderem zu Machtmissbrauch. Die Dogmatikerin hat jüngst in einer Fachtagung die Macht in kirchlichen Strukturen beleuchtet

Die Theologin Gunda Werner deckt unter anderem mit ihrer Forschung kirchliche Strukturen auf, die Gleichstellung und Demokratie gefährden. Sie kehrt die gesellschaftliche Relevanz von Glaubenswahrheiten hervor und setzt sie in Bezug zur Lebensrealität. Jeder Mensch lebt innerhalb von Machtstrukturen. Allerdings bedeutet dies nicht, völlig determiniert zu sein. JedeR kann sich zu der Macht verhalten, prägt und trägt ihre Strukturen mit und ja, kann sie auch ausnutzen. Solchen Missbrauch überhaupt nicht zu bemerken, ist schwer vorstellbar. Weil Macht so umfassend ist, außen wie innen, ist es so wichtig, sich mit ihr und ihren Wirkungen zu beschäftigen.
