Das Seminar Teaching in English soll Anreiz sein Lehrveranstaltungen auch fremdsprachig zu gestalten

Die Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz ist nicht ausschließlich in Forschungsprojekten und durch Kooperation international orientiert, sondern auch immer mehr durch Lehrveranstaltungen. Um englischsprachige Lehre gezielt zu fördern, hat die Uni Graz den Weiterbildungskurs "Teaching in English" ins Leben gerufen. Organisiert wird er vom Büro für Internationale Beziehungen, Treffpunkt Sprachen sowie Personalentwicklung gemeinsam; eingeladen werden auch Gastvortragenden. 


Uni-Graz-Lehrende können im Rahmen dieses sechstägigen Seminars lernen, wie sie ihre Themen, Inhalte und Ziele in englischer Sprache in der Lehre aufbereiten und an die Studierenden kommunizieren. Heuer fand der Kurs - wie immer in der lehrveranstaltungsfreien Zeit - von 22. bis 25. April 2014 sowie am 28. und 29. April 2014 zum dritten Mal statt. Die 14 TeilnehmerInnen aus unterschiedlichen Disziplinen und Fakultäten der Uni Graz bekamen am letzten Seminartag ein Zertifikat von Renate Dworczak, Vizerektorin für Personal, Personalentwicklung und Gleichstellung überreicht.

The Austrian Science Fund FWF has selected the Doctoral Programme in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Graz for funding from the Doc.funds. Six young scientists will be funded for 3.5 years. They will gain fundamentally new insights into the origins of the world.

From trans women and knee prostheses: sports science prizes awarded

Walking better with a prosthesis, successfully getting rid of excess weight, training more effectively, more fairness for trans people in sport: these were the topics addressed by the students at the University of Graz who were awarded the sports science prizes for their Master's theses on 3 December 2025.
