Vortragender und Initiatoren des ersten Docdays für Pharmazeutische Wissenschaften: Dr. Dubravko Jelić aus Zagreb, Ao.Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Adelheid Brantner und Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Zimmer von der Uni Graz

Beim ersten Docday Pharmazeutische Wissenschaften an der Uni Graz gaben NachwuchsforscherInnen Einblick in ihre Arbeit

Erstmals fand heuer der DocDay der Doktoratsschule Pharmazeutische Wissenschaften am Zentrum für Molekulare Biowissenschaften der Karl-Franzens-Universität statt. Während der ganztägigen Veranstaltung gelang es einen breiten Überblick über die aktuellen Themengebiete der pharmazeutischen Forschung an der Uni Graz zu geben. Zu Beginn hielt Herr Dr. Dubravko Jelić von „Galapagos Research – Fidelta“ aus Zagreb einen Plenarvortrag zu dem Thema „In vitro Screening in Drug Discovery & Development“, in dem sehr anschaulich gezeigt wurde, welch breites Technologiefeld heute im Bereich der Pharmaforschung zum Einsatz kommt. Danach hatten die Uni Graz-DissertantInnen aus den verschiedenen Gebieten der Pharmazie - beginnend von Pharmakognosie, Pharmazeutischer Technologie über Pharmazeutischer Chemie bis zur Pharmakologie - die Gelegenheit, ihre Forschungsthemen und Ergebnisse in Form von Vorträgen und Posterpräsentationen darzustellen.

Krönender Abschluss war die Prämierung für den besten Vortrag und das beste Poster im Rahmen des Docdays: Die JungforscherInnen Bernhard Scheicher und Bettina Meier bekamen die Preise, die von der Firma ProtAffin in Graz/London gestiftet wurden, von Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Kungl überreicht.
