Uni-Graz-Räder sind ab sofort wieder verfügbar. E-Bike im Angebot

Rechtzeitig zum Saisonstart ist die zweite Liefertranche an Uni-Graz-Rädern eingetroffen: 200 Fahrräder in allen Größen und Modellen wurden beim Hersteller bestellt, rund 100 Räder sind bereits im Herbst vorreserviert worden und werden dieser Tage an die neuen BesitzerInnen übergeben. „Wir haben wieder viele Modelle lagernd“, verrät Andreas Reiser von der Wirtschaftsabteilung. Erstmals mit dabei ist das Tiefeinsteigermodell mit einer größeren Rahmenhöhe. „Die Erweiterung der Produktpalette war erforderlich, da sich auch viele männliche Mitarbeiter für das eigentlich als Damenmodell ausgewiesene Rad entschieden haben“, erklärt Reiser. Das Uni-Rad gibt es in drei Modellen und verschiedenen Größen für alle MitarbeiterInnen um 399 Euro. Wird die Mobilitätsförderung in Anspruch genommen, kostet das Rad 169 Euro. Neu ist auch das Uni-Graz-Rad als Elektrobike: ein Prototyp von der Firma Puch kann direkt bei der Ausgabe im RESOWI begutachtet und getestet werden.

Ticket für den Öffentlichen Verkehr
Für MitarbeiterInnen die auf öffentliche Verkehrsmittel umsteigen möchten, unterstützt die Uni Graz wieder mit Gutscheinen der Holding Graz. So kostet beispielsweise das Jahresticket für MitarbeiterInnen mit Hauptwohnsitz in Graz, welche die Förderung in Anspruch nehmen, günstige 114 statt 228 Euro. Für MitarbeiterInnen, die außerhalb von Graz wohnen, übernimmt die Universität ebenfalls die Hälfte der Kosten für ein Ticket der Zone 101.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
