Entdecken – Probieren – Studieren: Eintauchen in die faszinierende Welt von Wissenschaft und Forschung können MaturantInnen und studieninteressierte SchülerInnen bei der Schnupperuni von 24. bis 26. August 2016 an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Die größte Universität der Steiermark öffnet an diesen Tagen wieder ihre Türen für einen Einblick in ihr vielfältiges Studienangebot.

Bei Probevorlesungen von „Archäologie“ bis „Umweltsystemwissenschaften“ können die TeilnehmerInnen Hörsaalluft schnuppern. JungforscherInnen erzählen von ihrem spannenden wissenschaftlichen Alltag und beim alumni.Sommergespräch geben erfolgreiche Uni-AbsolventInnen Erfahrungen aus ihrer Studienzeit und aus der Berufswelt preis.

Eine etwas andere Perspektive auf das Unigelände kann bei der „Campusrallye“, bei denen die Hotspots der Uni Graz angesteuert werden, geworfen werden. Im „UniCafé“ stehen – neben Snacks und Erfrischungen – der Erfahrungsaustausch und das Kontakteknüpfen im Vordergrund. Bei entspannter Kaffeehausatmosphäre lädt das „WorldCafé“ zu anregenden Diskussionen ein. Auch dieses Jahr steht wieder eine Infoveranstaltung für interessierte Eltern zu den Themen Studienmöglichkeiten, Finanzierung oder Serviceangebote am Programm.

Long Night of Research: How many languages are there in the world?

From a linguistic perspective, there are worlds of difference between Bern, Berlin and Vienna. A dialect impersonator will demonstrate live just how varied German can sound. How many languages are there in the world? What are their distinctive features? Which of these are spoken in Austria? These and other questions will be answered during the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz: on Friday, 24 April 2025, from 5 pm to 11 pm, in the University Library. Visitors can immerse themselves in the diversity of languages without travelling far by taking part in a quiz at the station.
