TheologInnen der Uni Graz untersuchen Priester-Klischees in Film und Fernsehen.

Dunkel gekleidet, mit Kollar, gutmütig, volksnah und traditionell: So werden Priester in populären Filmen, Serien und Werbespots dargestellt. DissertantInnen des Instituts für Religionswissenschaft analysierten die Klischees genauer und publizierten ihre Forschungsergebnisse im Band "Helden in Schwarz". "Die österreichischen Durchschnittsbevölkerung sieht Priester im Fernsehen öfter als in der Kirche", begründet Initiatorin Theresia Heimerl ihr Interesse für die Untersuchung und die Publikation, die sie gemeinsam mit Lisa Kienzl herausgegeben hat.

Unter die wissenschaftliche Lupe genommen wurden populäre Filme, Serien und Werbespots. „Einfache Priester im Fernsehen sind sympathische Helden, vom Cola-Werbespot bis zum Exorzisten“, fasst Heimerl zusammen. Kardinäle und Bischöfe hingegen werden eher als böse und intrigant oder etwas vertrottelt dargestellt. Optisch sind die Kleriker immer als ersten Blick als solche erkennbar.

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
