Wissenschaft fasziniert - und bringt Schule und Universität zusammen

Wie Wissenschaft und Schule zueinander finden

Wie funktioniert Wissenschaft in der Schule? Was entfacht die Neugier von Schülerinnen und Schülern? Und welche konkreten Schnittstellen gibt es bereits zwischen Forschung und Schule? „Young Science“, das Zentrum für die Zusammenarbeit von Wissenschaft und Schule, lädt gemeinsam mit der TU Graz und der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz unter dem Motto „Forschung verbindet! Erfolgreiche Wege der Zusammenarbeit von Wissenschaft und Schule“ zu Erfahrungsaustausch und Diskussionsrunden.
Neben Wissenschaftern, Lehrern, Schülern und Eltern sind auch Medienvertreter herzlich eingeladen.

Von einem „Arbeitskoffer zu Steirischen Literaturpfaden des Mittelalters“ über „Engineer your Sound“, einem Konzept zur Technikgestaltung am Beispiel Musik, bis hin zum zeitgeschichtlichen Projekt „Der jüdische Friedhof von Graz“ – wie eng Wissenschaft und Schule in der Steiermark bereits miteinander verbunden sind, demonstrieren ausgewählte gemeinsame Forschungsprojekte der „Young Science“-Initiative.



Schüler am Wort
Das erste steirische Netzwerktreffen der Initiative lässt auch die „Hauptzielgruppe“, nämlich Schüler, zu Wort kommen: In Diskussionen mit Wissenschaftern reflektieren sie ihre bisherigen „Ausflüge“ in die vielfältige Welt der Forschung und erklären wie ihre Neugier und Freude an Wissenschaft geweckt werden kann. Kurzvorträge und der direkte Erfahrungsaustausch mit Schülern, Wissenschaftern, Lehrern und Eltern runden das Programm ab.

Students from the University of Graz are spending two weeks conducting research at the Univerisity of Graz research station at the Sermilik Fjord in Greenland, which has been operational for three years. ORF is following the expedition and will be reporting on the special feature ‘Arctic Adventure’ across its various channels from 20 July.
