Einmal auf der Akropolis in Athen stehen, im Louvre spazieren gehen oder an der Promenade in Stockholm flanieren - natürlich als Studierende/r der Uni Graz. Ein Auslandssemester oder gar -jahr macht das möglich. Die Universität Graz, genauer gesagt das Büro für Internationale Beziehungen unterstützt bei der richtigen Auswahl. Bei der Infomesse am 10. Oktober 2017 in der Aula der Universität konnten sich StudentInnen wieder über die Vielzahl an Programmen informieren; auch Stipendienmöglichkeiten wurden aufgezeigt. Studierende konnten Fragen stellen und ExpertInnen berieten, alumniUNIgraz bot sogar einen eigenen Stand an, bei dem deutsche und englische Lebensläufe genauer unter die Lupe genommen wurden.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.
