Bilingualer Schulunterricht stand im Mittelpunkt der Grazer Tagung Deutsch als Fremd-/Zweitsprache und Sprachdidaktik

Eine Schulklasse, zwei Unterrichtssprachen - Bilingualer Unterricht mit Deutsch als Zweitsprache und einer nicht anerkannten Minderheitensprache war das Thema der diesjährigen Grazer Tagung Deutsch als Fremd-/Zweitsprache & Sprachdidaktik. 80 TeilnehmerInnen aus der Schweiz, England, Deutschland und Österreich präsentierten neue Erkenntnisse in Bezug auf sprachliche, kognitive und soziale Effekte bilingualen Unterrichts sowie Evaluierungen bereits etablierter zweisprachiger Modelle. Weiters wurde innovative Projekte vorgestellt, die in Schulen bereits erfolgreich umgesetzt werden.
"Das Thema Zweisprachigkeit stellt nicht nur für die Forschung, sondern auch bildungspolitisch nach wie vor eine Herausforderung dar", resümiert Organisatorin Sabine Schmölzer-Eibinger. Soziale Hierarchien behindern ein differenziertes Lehren. "Bislang gibt es beispielsweise kaum Schulen, die bilingualen Unterricht mit Deutsch und Türkisch anbieten", so die Expertin. Forschung und Praxis sollen daher auch in Zukunft eng vernetzt werden.

Die Tagung wurde durch den Universitätslehrgang Deutsch als Fremd- und Zweitsprache in Kooperation mit dem Fachdidaktikzentrum der Geisteswissenschaftlichen Fakultät Graz organisiert. Abstracts zum Nachlesen findet man unter fachdidaktikzentrum-gewi.uni-graz.at.
