Der Welcome Day zog Massen an: Mehr als 1000 StudienanfängerInnen waren gekommen, um ihre Universität näher kennenzulernen

Der 26. September 2019 wird der Universität Graz lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Es ist jener Tag, an dem die Universität die Pforten ihrer neuen Bibliothek erstmals für die Öffentlichkeit öffnete. Und es ist jener Tag, an dem der Welcome Day wieder einen BesucherInnenrekord aufstellte: Mehr als 1100 StudienanfängerInnen waren gekommen, um ihre künftige Universität näher kennenzulernen. Insgesamt wurden 1.900 Workshopplätze vergeben, davon alleine 300 zum Thema Studienbeginn.

Alles auf einen Blick
Serviceeinrichtungen der Universität präsentierten am Welcome Day ihr Angebot rund um den Studierendenalltag. Und das gesammelt an einem Ort, in der Aula. Spezial-Touren führten die Studierenden über den Campus und in Workshops konnten sie gezielt Hintergrundinfos zu verschiedenen Themen bekommen. Das Studieninfoservice der Universität Graz, 4 students, ist übrigens das ganze Jahr über für die Studierenden erreichbar und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. These and other questions will be answered during the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz: on Friday, 24 April 2025, from 5 pm to 11 pm, in the University Library. Visitors can immerse themselves in the diversity of languages without travelling far by taking part in a quiz at the station.
