Eine Dekade gemeinsam: NAWI Graz zieht Bilanz nach dem Jubiläumsjahr 2014

Ihr Zehn-Jahr-Jubiläum beging heuer NAWI Graz, die Kooperation von Karl-Franzens-Universität und TU Graz. Seit 2004 arbeiten die naturwissenschaftlichen Bereiche der beiden Universitäten noch enger im Rahmen von NAWI Graz zusammen. Die Zusammenarbeit gilt als Best-Practice-Modell der österreichischen Hochschullandschaft und kann eine erfolgreiche Bilanz in Forschung und Lehre vorweisen: 18 gemeinsame Bachelor-/Master-Studien, 4700 Bachelor-Master-Studierende, 640 Doktoratssstudierende, gemeinsame Doktoratsschulen. Mehr als 1000 MitarbeiterInnen an 35 Instituten beider Universitäten erwirtschaften rund 26 Millionen Euro pro Jahr aus 450 laufenden Forschungsprojekten.
Darüber hinaus gibt es: mehr als 130 gemeinsam angeschaffte und genutzte wissenschaftliche Geräte, vier NAWI Graz Central Labs, zwei NAWI Graz Core Facilities (in Einrichtung), Infrastrukturlandkarten, gemeinsam berufene ProfessorInnen.

„Mit NAWI Graz zeigt der Wissenschafts- und Wirtschaftsstandort Steiermark einmal mehr eindrucksvoll, dass man mit Kooperation gemeinsam mehr erreichen kann“, bekräftigten die beiden NAWI-Graz RektorInnen Christa Neuper (Uni Graz) und Harald Kainz (TU Graz).
