Die Bibliothek sagt langsam leise "Servus"

Am 24. Juni zeigt die Universitätsbibliothek noch einmal was sie kann: Tag der Offenen Tür.

Niemand sagt einfach auf Wiedersehen, ohne sich gebührend feiern zu lassen. Auch nicht die Universitätsbibliothek Graz. Am 24. Juni macht die größte Bibliothek der Steiermark noch einmal so richtig auf sich aufmerksam. Mit einer "Farewell-Party" will sie Studierenden, MitarbeiterInnen und ihren BenützerInnen zeigen, was in ihr steckt. Beginn ist um zehn Uhr.

Am Stand in der Empfangshalle - diese wird ja ab Herbst demontiert und im Frühjahr nächsten Jahres dem Erdboden gleichgemacht - informieren MitarbeiterInnen der Universitätsbibliothek über das Projekt und stehen für Fragen und Antworten zur Verfügung. Besonderer Fokus wird auf der Präsentation der Services liegen, die während der dreijährigen Umbauphase an unterschiedlichen Standorten angeboten werden. Auch werden kleine Details zum neuen Projekt verraten. Der Infostand bleibt dann zwei Wochen dort stehen. Für Studierende gibt es an diesem Tag die letzte Möglichkeit an einer Führung durch die Magazine und Gänge der Universitätsbibliothek teilzunehmen - bevor der Umbau beginnt.

Long Night of Research: How many languages are there in the world?

How many languages are there in the world? What are their distinctive features? Which of these are spoken in Austria? These and other questions will be answered during the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz: on Friday, 24 April 2025, from 5 pm to 11 pm, in the University Library. Visitors can immerse themselves in the diversity of languages without travelling far by taking part in a quiz at the station.
