Uni Graz gibt am 14. November spannende Einblicke ins Gehirn für Groß und Klein

Was unser Gehirn alles tut, ohne dass wir es bemerken, warum wir vieles nicht wahrnehmen, und wie wir unsere Schaltzentrale auf Trab bringen können, demonstrieren WissenschafterInnen der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz am Samstag, den 14. November 2015 bei der Veranstaltung „ACHTUNG FORSCHUNG!“.
BesucherInnen jeden Alters sind eingeladen, in die Welt der Nervenzellen und Gedanken eindringen, Sinnestäuschungen zu erleben oder zu lernen, wie man besser lernt. Das vielfältige Programm umfasst 15 Mitmach-Stationen in der Aula, Sonderführungen durch das UniGraz@Museum und Kurzvorträge über spannende, aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse sowie ein eigenes Angebot für Kinder mit Workshops und Wissensquiz. Der Eintritt ist frei.

The Nazi elite school Napola: Historian seeks memories and personal documents

They were to be brought up to become the future elite of National Socialism: boys and girls aged ten and over who, following the ‘Anschluss’ of Austria to the German Reich, attended a so-called Napola (short for Nationalpolitische Lehranstalt; also known as NPEA, Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalt). There were nine such institutions in what is now Austria between 1939 and 1945.
