150 BiologInnen trafen sich, um die Rolle ihres Faches in Europa zu beleuchten

Mit der Rolle der Biologie in Europa beschäftigten sich am 13. September 2015 rund 150 BiologInnen aus mehreren EU Staaten. Diese Tagung wurde im Anschluss an die 108. Jahrestagung der Deutschen Zoologischen Gesellschaft an der Karl-Franzens Universität Graz abgehalten. Schwerpunkte stellten die EU weite Arbeitsmarktsituation (StartUps, rechtliche Grundlagen, Fördermöglichkeiten) und die Bedeutung einer Standesvertretung für BiologInnen mit einer dahingehenden Zertifizierung dar.
Organisiert wurde diese Veranstaltung von der steirischen Regionalgruppe der „Austrian Biologist Association“ (ABA), bestehend aus Studierenden und AbsolventInnen der Karl-Franzens Universität Graz, mit Unterstützung der „European Countries Biologists Association“ (ECBA).
