Präsentation des neuen Universitätskurses „Schulpsychologie“

Eine positive emotionale Grundbefindlichkeit ist die Voraussetzung für Lernerfolge. Pünktlich zu Schulbeginn stellt sich allerdings die Frage, wie Prävention und Intervention im Klassenzimmer zwischen Leistungsdruck, Interkulturalität, Perfektionismus, Mobbing und sozialen Medien gelingen kann. Inwiefern ist Schule neu zu denken? Am Montag, 9. September 2019, präsentierten Josef Zollneritsch (Bildungsdirektion Steiermark), Karin Landerl (Entwicklungspsychologin und wissenschaftliche Leiterin des Universitätskurses „Schulpsychologie“), Maria Andrlik (Talentcenter der WKO Steiermark, Kooperationspartner des Universitätskurses) und Stephan Witzel (Geschäftsführer UNI for LIFE) eine Innovation im steirischen Bildungsraum, den neuen Universitätskurs „Schulpsychologie“.

Wenn im und rund um das Klassenzimmer Rahmenbedingungen aus den Fugen geraten, sind insbesondere Personen, die innerhalb und außerhalb des Schulsystems schulpsychologisch tätig sind, gefordert. Die neue Weiterbildung richtet sich daher an PsychologInnen, PädagogInnen, LehrerInnen und Personen mit fachspezifischer Vorbildung, die in ihrer schulpsychologischen Tätigkeit professionell agieren und ihre Kompetenzen vertiefen möchten. Gestartet wird das Programm ab Herbst 2020 in Kooperation mit der Bildungsdirektion Steiermark, dem Unterstützungsverein Schulpsychologie Steiermark und dem Talentcenter der WKO Steiermark.

Chemical Christmas show at the University of Graz: An explosive evening at the Schauspielh

At the beginning of December, the University of Graz transformed the theater into a laboratory: as part of “Chemical Life,” teacher training students staged a chemical Christmas show for Styrian school classes—complete with ethanol rockets, nitrogen snow, and glowing effects. An evening designed to inspire interest in studying chemistry.

Train by train: Koralm railway accelerates exchange between the Universities

Lectures at the University of Klagenfurt in the morning, seminars at the University of Graz in the afternoon: Austria's longest tunnel and a journey time of around 45 minutes make it easy. The Koralm railway increases the speed of networking between the two university locations. The collaboration builds on existing cooperation - for example in the areas of teacher training, Slavic studies and as employers, the universities are well coordinated.
