Anglistik und Amerikanistik prämieren ihre fünf besten AbsolventInnen

Konsequent und gut, oder besser gesagt: sehr gut – nach diesem Prinzip absolvierten Mag. Victoria Eibinger, Mag. Johanna Grünwald, Mag. Beatrix Hirtenlehner, Mag. Sabrina Palan und Mag. Lisa Maria Palli ihr Englisch-Studium und überzeugten als Draufgabe auch noch mit einer hervorragenden Diplomarbeit. Dafür erhielten die Fünf als beste Absolventinnen ihres Fachs des Studienjahrs 2016/17 am 5. Dezember im Meerscheinschlössl den „Excellence in English and American Studies Award“. Der Preis wurde heuer bereits zum 15. Mal vergeben. Von Ao.Univ.-Prof. i.R. Dr. Bernhard Kettemann ins Leben gerufen, ist er eine Auszeichnung für außergewöhnliche Leistungen und soll gleichzeitig Ansporn für andere Studierende sein.

Die Preisträgerinnen, diesmal alle Absolventinnen des Lehramtsstudiums, glänzten mit einem Notendurchschnitt von höchstens 1,12. Voraussetzungen für ihre Prämierung waren ein mit Auszeichnung abgeschlossener erster und zweiter Abschnitt in beiden Fächern ihres Lehramtsstudiums sowie eine mit „Sehr gut“ beurteilte Diplomarbeit.

The Austrian Science Fund FWF has selected the Doctoral Programme in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Graz for funding from the Doc.funds. Six young scientists will be funded for 3.5 years. They will gain fundamentally new insights into the origins of the world.

From trans women and knee prostheses: sports science prizes awarded

Walking better with a prosthesis, successfully getting rid of excess weight, training more effectively, more fairness for trans people in sport: these were the topics addressed by the students at the University of Graz who were awarded the sports science prizes for their Master's theses on 3 December 2025.
