Aerobics bis Zumba

Anmeldung zu den USI Sportkursen für MitarbeiterInnen am 17. und 19. Februar 2015!

Das Sommersemester naht in großen Schritten und somit auch die Anmeldung für die beliebten USI-Kurse: 375 Sportkurse mit über 11.000 Kursplätzen von A wie Aerobics bis Z wie Zumba werden auch in diesem Halbjahr wieder angeboten.

Bedienstete der Universität Graz haben zwei Möglichkeiten, sich für diese Kurse anzumelden:
Am Dienstag, 17.02.2015 online über MY USI DATA und am Donnerstag, 19.02.2015 am eigenen Anmeldetag für Bedienstete im USI Büro (Universitätsplatz 3, EG).

Nutzen Sie dieses einmalige Sportangebot zur Förderung Ihrer Gesundheit durch Kräftigung (Fitnesskurse), Entspannung (Yoga-Kurse) oder Spaß (Ballspiele). Die Kurse starten ab 2. März 2015 und kosten 26,- bis 39,- Euro (für 15 Einheiten à 90 Minuten!).

A substantial community: the key role of soil crusts in the earth system

They are often overshadowed by the plant world: lichens, fungi, mosses and bacteria, which form unique communities on rocks and trees or as soil crusts. Bettina Weber from the University of Graz is bringing this biological alliance into the research spotlight. Her research shows that these communities form an essential part of the Earth’s critical zone and play a key role in the interactions between land and atmosphere. Bettina Weber was honoured by the European Geosciences Union for her groundbreaking research at the beginning of May.
