BioTechMed-Graz Science Breakfast

At this special Science Breakfast, established scientist Kathrin Eller will share personal insights into her professional journey - discussing the challenges and obstacles she faced, as well as the moments of success she experienced along the way to building a successful career in science.

Kathrin Eller studied Medicine at the University Vienna and performed her internship in Internal Medicine at the Medical University Innsbruck. Currently, she is Professor of Translational Nephrology at the Medical University of Graz and Deputy Head of the Division of Nephrology. Her research focuses on the mechanisms underlying kidney disease, with a particular interest in immune-mediated kidney diseases and the communication between the kidney and other organs. Alongside her clinical and research work, she serves as Vice Dean for Doctoral Studies at the Medical University of Graz and is serving for the Austrian Research Funds FWF as Referent for Clinical Studies II.
