Zulassung für Lehramt

Beginn am 17. März 2014: Vier Universitäten starten gemeinsames Pilotprojekt

Alle AnfängerInnen eines Lehramtsstudiums an Österreichs Universitäten müssen sich ab dem kommenden Wintersemester 2014/15 erstmals einem Zulassungsverfahren unterziehen. Die Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz führt den zweistufigen Vorgang in Form eines österreichweit einzigartigen Pilotprojekts gemeinsam mit TU Graz, Kunstuniversität Graz und Uni Klagenfurt durch. Die Registrierung startet am Montag, den 17. März 2014.

1. Stufe
Zwischen 17. März und 15. Juli 2014 müssen alle Lehramtsstudien-Interessierten eine virtuelle Info-Tour rund um den Beruf LehrerIn durchlaufen und sich anschließend auf dem Online-Portal anmelden. Das Self-Assessment bietet mit Hilfe der Beantwortung von Fragen die Möglichkeit, den Arbeitsalltag im Klassenzimmer sowie die Anforderungen an PädagogInnen besser kennenzulernen. Interessierte sollen sich für den Selbsttest im Internet etwa eine Stunde Zeit nehmen.

2. Stufe
Nach der verpflichtenden ersten Stufe muss ein Aufnahmetest zwischen 8. und 10. September 2014 an der Uni Graz bzw. Klagenfurt absolviert werden. Die Multiple-Choice-Prüfung fragt unter anderem Sprachkompetenz, emotionale Fähigkeiten und Belastbarkeit ab. Weder für Stufe 1 noch für Stufe 2 sind besondere fachliche Kenntnisse erforderlich.
Für ein erfolgreiches Aufnahmeverfahren müssen Mindestkriterien, welche die Basis für eine Absolvierung des Studiums und eine grundlegende Eignung für den Lehrberuf sicherstellen, erfüllt werden. Es handelt sich um ein Verfahren ohne Beschränkung an Studienplätzen. Wie bisher sind für gewisse Unterrichtsfächer zusätzlich spezifische Zulassungsvoraussetzungen zu erfüllen.

Ein Verfahren, 16 Institutionen
Im Projekt „Aufnahme- und Auswahlverfahren für Lehramtsstudien“ ziehen auf Initiative der Uni Graz insgesamt sechs Universitäten und zehn Pädagogische Hochschulen in ganz Österreich an einem Strang. Ziel des Schulterschlusses ist es, die verpflichtende Zulassung gemeinsam qualitätsvoll und effizient zu realisieren. Die wissenschaftliche Leitung des Projekts hat Univ.-Prof. Dr. Aljoscha Neubauer (Uni Graz), Stellvertreterin ist Dr. Barbara Pflanzl (Pädagogische Hochschule Steiermark).
Die Pilotphase umfasst vier Universitäten: Uni Graz, TU Graz, Kunstuni Graz und Uni Klagenfurt. Die Zulassung für insgesamt 23 Unterrichtsfächer wird über das neue Tool abgewickelt. Im Studienjahr 2015/16 schließen sich weitere Universitäten und Hochschulen dem Procedere an.
Die Entwicklung wird im Rahmen der Hochschulraumstrukturmittel mit 900.000 Euro vom Wissenschaftsministerium gefördert.
