75 Jahre nach der Pogromnacht 1938: Helmut Konrad über das Lernen aus der Geschichte

Zum 75. Mal jähren sich am 9. November die tragischen Ereignisse der Pogromnacht von 1938. Der anerkannte Zeithistoriker Univ.-Prof. Dr. Helmut Konrad nimmt die Wiederkehr der Verfolgung der jüdischen Bevölkerung zum Anlass, um das Lernen aus der Geschichte zu beleuchten. Die Veranstaltung findet im Rahmen der Uni-Graz-Reihe „Wissensdurst – die Wissenschaftsviertelstunde im Pub“ statt.

Neu ist der Ort: „Wissensdurst“ ist an das rechte Murufer übersiedelt und geht ab sofort im beliebten Lokal „Brot & Spiele“ in der Mariahilferstraße über die Bühne.
Bewährt hat sich der Ablauf: Nach seinem etwa 15-minütigen Vortrag haben Gäste wieder die Gelegenheit, Fragen zu stellen und mit dem Forscher zu diskutieren.

Die Veranstaltungsreihe „Wissensdurst – die Wissenschaftsviertelstunde im Pub“ ist Teil der 7. fakultät, des Zentrums für Gesellschaft, Wissen und Kommunikation an der Uni Graz. Das Projekt, von Dr. Wolfram Steurer initiiert, wird von den Studierenden Christian Fercher und Lukas Grumet geleitet.
