Uni Graz präsentiert wieder die Ig-Nobelpreis-Show. Diesmal am 25. März 2020 in der Aula. Karten bei oeticket erhältlich

Können sich eineiige Zwillinge selbst optisch unterscheiden? Verhalten sich tote magnetisierte Küchenschaben anders als ihre lebenden Artgenossen? Und können Katzen zwei Aggregatszustände haben – flüssig und fest?

Außergewöhnliche Fragen, die die Welt, aber auch die Wissenschaft bewegen. Die Antworten darauf liefern – wissenschaftlich fundiert und mit viel Witz – drei renommierte ForscherInnen, die von der Universität Harvard mit dem sogenannten Ig-Nobelpreis ausgezeichnet wurden. Iliara Bufalari, Herbert Crepaz und Marc-Antoine Fardin sorgen am 25. März 2020 an der Universität Graz bestimmt wieder für Lacher im Publikum und regen mit ihrem Auftritt zum Nachdenken an.

Durch die Show, die nach 2017 und 2019 nun zum dritten Mal an der Universität Graz über die Bühne geht, führt Marc Abrahams. Die Vorträge sind in englischer Sprache.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
