Wie studieren Sie? 

Was motiviert die Studierenden ein Studium aufzunehmen? Im Zuge der Sozialerhebung befragt die Universität Graz ihre Studierenden.

Was motiviert die Studierenden ein Studium aufzunehmen? Im Zuge der Sozialerhebung befragt die Universität Graz ihre Studierenden.

Universität Graz bittet ihre Studierenden um deren Meinung 

Wie effektiv sind Beratungs- und Serviceangebote? Was motiviert die Studierenden ein Studium aufzunehmen, abzuschließen, zu wechseln oder abzubrechen? Wie meistern Studierende ihren Bildungsweg und wie kann die Universität Graz sie dabei unterstützen?

Um diese und viele weitere Fragen beantworten zu können, entstand ein Pilotprojekt im Auftrag des Wissenschaftsministeriums, der Universität Graz und der TU Graz. In diesem Projekt werden vollkommen anonym zwei Datensätze miteinander verknüpft und durch das Institut für Höhere Studien (IHS Wien) ausgewertet, und zwar die Studierendensozialerhebung (SOLA) und regulär an der Universität erhobene Administrativdaten. 
Diese Datenverknüpfung ermöglicht uns, unterschiedliche Phänomene zu erklären und bietet eine Unterstützung bei Findung von Entscheidungen und Entwicklung von Services, Maßnahmen und Studienangeboten.

Die Universität Graz und die TU Graz regen daher die Teilnahme an der SOLA-Erhebung sowie die Zustimmung für die Datenverknüpfung im Anschluss an den SOLA-Fragebogen an. Die datenschutzkonforme Verarbeitung Ihrer Daten ist uns ein besonderes Anliegen, weshalb wir die höchsten Datenschutzstandards einhalten! Der Link zur Befragung wird den Studierenden individuell per E-Mail zugesandt.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.

The Healing Sea: Researchers discover new approaches to treating chronic inflammation in sponges

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
