Vorklinik als Schauplatz des „steirischen herbst“: Choreografie und Fotokunst in alten Mauern

Vor dem Abbruch hat die Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft das leerstehende Vorklinik-Gebäude als Schauplatz für Kunstprojekte geöffnet. Die Ergebnisse werden im Rahmen einer Ausstellung des „steirischen herbst“ gezeigt.

Die Choreografin Meg Stuart setzte sich in ihren neuen Videoarbeiten „Shelf Life“ und „Circuit Bending“ mit der Vorklinik auseinander. Stuart und ihr Team versuchen, die großen leeren Räume des Gebäudes in sinnlichen Videos erfahrbar zu machen.

Mit dem 1970er-Bau beschäftigt sich auch Andreas Fogarasi. Seine Arbeit zerlegt die Vorklinik in ihre ästhetischen Bestandteile und Materialien. So zeichnet der Künstler ein abstraktes Porträt einer spezifischen urbanen Situation, reduziert auf Materialität, Farbigkeit und haptische Qualitäten.

Die Kunstprojekte im Rahmen des „steirischen herbst“ sind noch bis 15. Oktober 2023 (Di-So 11-19 Uhr) in der Ausstellung „Church of Ruined Modernity“ im Minoritenkloster und Minoritenzentrum Graz am Mariahilferplatz 3 zu sehen.

As an EMAS-certified organisation, the university is committed to systematically improving its environmental performance and contributing to sustainable development at all levels. Progress is documented in the annual environmental statement. The statement for 2024 was recently published. Particularly pleasing: electricity consumption was the lowest since EMAS records began.

Four universities, one degree: first certificates awarded in pioneering Arqus consortium
