Unter dem Motto "Wer willst du morgen sein?" startet die virtuelle Studieninfo am 18. Juni 2020 heuer als Alternative zum Tag der offenen Tür in Form einer Web-Plattform.

Die Universität Graz startet digitalen Tag der Offenen Tür

Videos, Chats mit Studierenden und Lehrenden, Campustouren im Netz: So wird die virtuelle Studienberatung 2020 an der Universität Graz aussehen. Studieninteressierte haben die Möglichkeit, sich heuer als Alternative den Tag der offenen Tür online nach Hause zu holen. Über eine Web-Plattform bekommen sie Unterstützung und Orientierung bei der richtigen Studienwahl. Start ist am 18. Juni, bis 30. September 2020 können sich MaturantInnen über das Studienangebot der Uni Graz informieren.

Auf der eigens eingerichteten Website http://openhouse.uni-graz.at können sich die Interessierten mittels einer virtuellen Campustour am Uni-Gelände umsehen, Video-Einblicke in die verschiedenen Studienrichtungen gewinnen und durch allgemeine Themen rund ums Studieren in Graz stöbern. Es besteht außerdem die Möglichkeit, via Chatfunktion direkt mit Lehrenden und der Studieninformationseinrichtung „4students – Studien Info Service“ in Kontakt zu treten.

„Gerade in einer solchen Ausnahmesituation ist es wichtig, junge Menschen bei der Wahl ihres zukünftigen Berufsweges zu unterstützen. Wir wollen Studieninteressierten wie bisher Antworten auf ihre individuellen Fragen geben, damit sie sich bestmöglich entscheiden können. Dazu haben wir eine innovative Alternative geschaffen“, erklärt Catherine Walter-Laager, Vizerektorin für Studium und Lehre.

Die Website geht am 18. Juni online und wird bis 30. September aufrufbar sein. Die Chats der Servicestellen sowie mit Lehrenden der Studienrichtungen sollen vom Startdatum bis 10. Juli aktiviert werden, die genauen Zeitfenster sind im Kalender ersichtlich.

Im Vorjahr haben an der Universität Graz mehr als 4 200 Personen zu studieren begonnen. Davon sind 65 Prozent Frauen und ein Viertel internationale Studierende. Insgesamt zählt die Universität rund 30.000 Studierende an sechs Fakultäten.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result.
