Mutter, Vater, ForscherIn: Universität Graz hilft dabei, Dissertation und Habilitation zu verfassen

Als ForscherIn arbeiten und Eltern sein. Die Universität Graz – etwa im Vorjahr mit dem Staatspreis FAMILIE & BERUF ausgezeichnet – unterstützt ihre WissenschafterInnen und Studierenden dabei, beide Aufgaben unter einen Hut zu bringen. Zum Beispiel mit dem Schreibsamstag am 4. Mai 2019. Während die Kleinen kostenlos betreut werden, können die Großen sich ganz dem wissenschaftlichen Schreiben widmen.
„Wir bieten schreibenden Eltern Arbeitsplätze, Beratung und Impulsvorträge“, verrät Doris Pany-Habsa vom Schreibzentrum der Universität Graz. „Wir wollen Strategien vermitteln, um trotz Betreuungspflichten Zeit effizient zu nutzen.“ Eine besteht darin, selbst kurze Zeitfenster fürs Schreiben zu verwenden, erklärt Pany-Habsa. Schon 15 Minuten können helfen, erste Eckpunkte eines Textes abzustecken. „Es muss nicht alles gleich druckreif sein“, beruhigt die Expertin. Darüber hinaus kann es hilfreich sein, das Erkenntnisziel seiner Dissertation oder Habilitation zu visualisieren. Weitere Tipps gibt es am Samstag, den 4. Mai im RESOWI-Zentrum, Bauteil B und C, von 10 bis 15 Uhr.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI
