Online-Buchung für Plätze an Tischen, Arbeits-PCs und Sitzstiege an den Bibliotheken

Corona hat uns eines gelehrt: Abstand halten. Derzeit steht die Corona-Ampel auf “Gelb“. Die Universität Graz führt nun an der Hauptbibliothek, den Fakultätsbibliotheken RESOWI und Theologie, in den Fachbibliothekszentren Wall und Heinrichstraße (Geographie, Anglistik/Amerikanistik, Mathematik) und in den Fachbibliotheken Geschichte und Germanistik ein Platz-Buchungs-System ein.

Ab Montag, den 28. September 2020 dürfen diese Bibliotheken nur noch mit einem gültigen Ticket betreten beziehungsweise als Lern- oder Arbeitsort genutzt werden. Die Ausleihe ist davon nicht betroffen; es können wie gewohnt am Schalter Medien entlehnt werden. An größeren Universitäten, wie der Uni Wien, sind solche Buchungs-Systeme bereits seit Jahren erfolgreich in Betrieb. Abhängig von der Bibliothek und dem Tag können ab nächster Woche ein bis drei Zeitslots gebucht werdenAlle NutzerInnen der Universitätsbibliothek und der dezentralen Bereiche, die die Räumlichkeiten als Lern- oder Leseort nutzen möchten, müssen ihren Platz vorab buchen.

Ablauf der Buchung
Das Online-Buchungssystem wurde in die Homepage der Universitätsbibliothek integriert. In einem ersten Schritt können bis zu sieben Tage im Voraus ein bis drei Zeitfenster von den NutzerInnen gebucht werden. Per E-Mail wird eine Reservierungsbestätigung zugesandt, die den Zeitslot wie auch einen QR-Code enthält. Um die Bibliotheken betreten zu können, muss diese Bestätigung - elektronisch oder ausgedruckt - vorgewiesen werden. Sicherheitspersonal und MitarbeiterInnen der Bibliothek prüfen dann die Berechtigung für einen Zutritt.

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The use of artificial intelligence has had to be made transparent since 2 August 2026. The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. However, the assessment of risks by the legislation differs in some cases significantly from the perceptions of the Austrian public. Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
