Erstes BioTechMed-Graz-Symposium mit neuen ProfessorInnen und Gastvortragendem Gottfried Schatz

Beim ersten BioTechMed-Graz-Symposium am 3. Juni 2014 in der Alten Universität stellten sich zwei der neuberufenen ProfessorInnen mit ihren Antrittsvorlesungen vor.

Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Christine Moissl-Eichinger, Professorin für Mikrobiom im Fachbereich Molekulare Biomedizin, faszinierte mit ihrem Vortrag: „Wussten Sie schon..., dass Mikroorganismen Enterhaken haben, zum Mars fliegen können und gerne kuscheln?“
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Mario Albrecht, Professor für Bioinformatik im Fachbereich Quantitative Biomedizin und Modellierung, begeisterte mit „Innovative Bioinformatik für die Lebenswissenschaften“.

Als Impulsreferent konnte Biochemiker Prof. Dr. Gottfried Schatz, Mitentdecker der mitochondrialen DNA, auch Absolvent der Karl-Franzens-Universität, gewonnen werden. Den Abschluss der Veranstaltung bildete eine Podiumsdiskussion sowie ein „Get Together“.
