Johann Sattler und Michael Fuchs erhielten für ihre Dissertationen „Universitätsforschungspreis der Industrie“

Innovative Forschung und industrielle Fragen – diese beiden Aspekte verknüpft die Industriellenvereinigung Steiermark mit dem „Universitätsforschungspreis der Industrie“, insgesamt mit 25.000 Euro dotiert. Mit jeweils 5.000 Euro werden Dissertationen ausgezeichnet, die sich sowohl durch wissenschaftliche Qualität, Potenzial der Ergebnisse als auch Nähe zu Fragen der Industrie hervorheben.
Am 8. Oktober 2013 wurden die diesjährigen Prämierungen in der Aula der TU Graz feierlich vergeben, darunter auch an die beiden Nachwuchswissenschafter Johann Sattler und Michael Fuchs von der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
