Weltraum-Rechtler Christian Brünner doppelt ausgezeichnet

Wem gehört der Mond? Wer haftet für den Schaden, wenn ein Nachrichtensatellit auf die Erde abstürzt? Wer besitzt Schürfrechte an Himmelskörpern? Christian Brünner gehört national wie international zu den Ersten, die sich mit diesen Fragen des Weltraumrechts auseinandergesetzt haben. Das International Institute of Space Law zeichnete den Juristen im Rahmen des International Astronautical Congress 2019 in Washington mit dem Lifetime Achievement Award 2019 aus – für seine jahrzehntelangen herausragenden Verdienste um die internationale Gemeinschaft im Bereich des Völkerrechts einschließlich des Weltraumrechts.
Ebenfalls prämiert wurde bei dieser Veranstaltung das von Brünner mitherausgegebene Buch „Satellite-Based Earth Observation. Trends and Challenges for Economy and Society“, nämlich mit dem Social Sciences Book Award 2019.
