Großer Kongress zu Jugendsprachen von 26. bis 28. Mai an der Uni Graz

Auf der ganzen Welt und in jeder Generation verwenden Heranwachsende eigene Wörter und eine eigene Grammatik. Wie diese Jugendsprache aktuell in Österreich ausgeprägt ist, erforscht Univ.-Prof. Dr. Arne Ziegler mit seinem Team vom Institut für Germanistik der Uni Graz. Von 26. bis 28. Mai 2016 organisiert er eine internationale Konferenz mit TeilnehmerInnen aus mehr als 30 Nationen. „Bis dato fand wenig Austausch über die Forschungen in den verschiedenen Sprachen statt, obwohl überall ähnliche Fragestellungen untersucht werden“, unterstreicht Ziegler die Bedeutung dieser Veranstaltung. Große Themenblöcke der Konferenz widmen sich beispielsweise der computervermittelten Kommunikation oder der Einbeziehung der Jugendpsrache in die Didaktik. „Die Art, wie Lerninhalte vermittelt werden, sollte sich ja an der Lebensrealität der SchülerInnen orientieren“, erklärt der Germanist. Der Einfluss des Englischen auf die Ausdrucksweise Heranwachsender oder ihre eigenen Höflichkeitsformen sind weitere Aspekte, die vorgestellt werden. Der Bogen der analysierten Sprachen reicht dabei von Arabisch und dem afrikaischen Igbo über nahezu alle europäischen Sprachen bis hin zu Japanisch.

This is the finding of a representative study carried out by data scientist Stefan Thalmann from the University of Graz and his team.
