Erstes Treffen dreier Regional Centres of Expertise in Graz

Weltweit gibt es 137, in Österreich sind es bereits drei: so genannte RCEs - Regional Centres of Expertise - in Graz-Styria, Vienna und das RCE Europaregion Tyrol. Am 17. und 18. Juni 2014 fand in Graz das erste von drei Treffen der österreichischen RCEs statt, zur Optimierung von Synergien und zur strategischen Weiterentwicklung der österreichsichen RCEs. Ziel dieser Initiative ist der Autausch von Wissen und Kultur, das Nutzen von Synergien, die Bündelung von Ressourcen, Beiträge zur Qualitätssicherung der Arbeiten an den RCEs, Entwicklung und Umsetzung von gemeinsamen Projekten für Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung sowie das Festigen und Intensivieren der Rolle der österreichischen RCEs im globalen Netzwerk.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
