Der Alien Lubo - hier eine Repräsentation als Handpuppe - steht stellvertretend für Kinder, die Probleme beim Lernen oder der sozialen Interaktion haben. Bildungsforscherinnen der Uni Graz haben das Trainingsprogramm "Lubo aus dem All" nun für Kinder mit Lese-Rechtschreib-Schwäche angepasst und berichten darüber in einer neuen Folge des Podcasts "HörSaal: 15 Minuten Forschung". ...und rechtschreiben. Der Alien steht stellvertretend für Kinder, die Probleme damit haben. Forscherinnen haben für sie ein Training gestaltet.

Lubo kommt aus dem All. Auf der Erde muss sich der kleine Alien allerhand Herausforderungen stellen, zum Beispiel in der Schule. Denn das Lesen und Rechtschreiben fällt Lubo schwer. Wie kann damit umgehen, dass er beim Buchstabieren und Addieren mehr Zeit braucht? Was motiviert ihn zum Lernen? Wie können ihn seine LehrerInnen unterstützen? Und wie helfen ihm seine Schulfreunde am besten?  

"Lubo aus dem All" ist ein Trainingsprogramm für Kinder, die spätestens in der Schule durch ihr Verhalten auffallen. Durch den "Stellvertreter" Lubo lernen die Kinder, ihr eigenes Verhalten von außen zu betrachten, zu verstehen und daran zu arbeiten. Susanne Seifert, Katharina Prinz und Barbara Gasteiger-Klicpera vom Institut für Bildungsforschung und PädagogInnenbildung der Uni Graz haben dieses Training jetzt speziell an Kinder angepasst, die Schwierigkeiten beim Erlernen von Lesen und Rechnen haben. 

In der aktuellen Folge des Podcasts "HörSaal: 15 Minuten Forschung" erzählen Susanne Seifert und Katharina Prinz, wie das Programm Kinder mit Lese-Rechtschreib-Schwäche unterstützt, wie es aufgebaut ist und wer mitmachen kann. Jurassic Sounds: Biologist reconstructs insect songs from 165 million years ago

It was apparently not just the roars of the dinosaurs that made up the soundscape of the animal world during the Jurassic period. Crickets and grasshoppers communicated through a variety of songs and high-pitched sounds, as Thorin Jonsson from the Institute of Biology at the University of Graz discovered together with colleagues from the universities of Lincoln, Bristol (UK), Beijing (China) and Tempe (USA). The findings on what are so far the oldest traces of sound on Earth have just been published in the journal PNAS.
