Das Fachdidaktikzentrum der Geisteswissenschaftlichen Fakultät eröffnete seine neue Veranstaltungsreihe zu zeitgemäßer Literaturvermittlung

Unter dem Titel „Literatur erleben – Erlebnis Literatur“ hat das Fachdidaktikzentrum (FDZ) der Geisteswissenschaftlichen Fakultät eine Veranstaltungsreihe initiiert, die sich im Wintersemester 2013/14 zeitgemäßer Literaturdidaktik mit speziellem Fokus auf Texte des Mittelalters widmet. Den Auftakt bildete ein Symposium, das am 18. Oktober 2013 an der Uni Graz stattfand.

Die Veranstaltungsreihe begleitet das Sparkling-Science-Projekt „Arbeitskoffer zu den Steirischen Literaturpfaden des Mittelalters: Neue Konzepte und Materialien zur Vermittlung älterer deutscher Texte“ und ist eingebettet in den Forschungssschwerpunkt „Lernen – Bildung – Wissen“ der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz.

 

Vizerektor Martin Polaschek unterstrich in seinen Begrüßungsworten zur Eröffnung des Symposiums die Funktion auch älterer, heute nicht mehr gesprochener Sprachen als Schlüssel zum Verständnis unserer Kultur.

Die Leiterin des FDZ der GEWI-Fakultät, Ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Sabine Schmölzer-Eibinger, hob die Bedeutung der Fachdidaktik unter anderem als wichtiges gesellschaftspolitisches Arbeitsfeld hervor und erklärte mit Blick auf die aktuelle forschungsbasierte Veranstaltungsreihe: „Ziel ist es, die Fachdidaktik als wissenschaftliche Disziplin stärker auszubauen.“ Zielgruppe der Reihe sind neben ForscherInnen auch Lehrende, Lehramtsstudierende sowie alle, die sich für das Nachdenken über Literatur und deren Vermittlung interessieren.

 

Auch wenn mittelalterliche Texte vor Jahrhunderten verfasst wurden, so sind viele ihrer Themen dennoch von erstaunlicher Aktualität. „Die Literatur eröffnet uns Gedankenräume und kann uns auch heute in unserem Alltagsleben hilfreich sein“, betonte Wernfried Hofmeister, Leiter des Projekts „Arbeitskoffer zu den Steirischen Literaturpfaden des Mittelalters“. „Wir wollen neue Zugänge zu älterer Literatur finden“, erklärte Projektmitarbeiterin Dr. Ylva Schwinghammer. Dabei gelte es, sowohl bei LehrerInnen als auch SchülerInnen Freude an der Beschäftigung mit Literatur zu wecken.
