Vorweihnachtliche Lesung an der UB Graz

Weihnachtliche Stimmung an der UB Graz: Am Nachmittag startete "Lest Christmas mit Books4Life" mit einem wohlbekannten Bücherbasar im Foyer der Universitätsbibliothek, ergänzt um den Verkauf von Weihnachtsbäckereien und - bastelein. Als die Hallen der Bibliothek sich langsam leerten, fand die Literatur Einzug in den Hauptlesesaal: Fünf Grazer AutorInnen, darunter Alexandra Kumer, Autorin von "Basilikum mal anders" und Kuno Kosmos, der steirische Poetry Slam Champion, gestalteten einen vorweihnachlichen Abend in musikalischer Umrahmung.

Die Gäste hörten nicht nur vom Schneeballzüchten, dem Silent Knight und dem anmutigen Tanz der Schneeflocken, sondern wurden auch aufgeklärt, warum das Christkind denn eigentlich Geschenke bringt. Nicht nur im Rahmen von "Lest Christmas" gab es im Books4Life Shop Besonderes zu erstehen; auch in den nächsten Tage gibt es Bäckereien und Basteleien, die sich neben Books4Life Gutscheinen, ausgezeichnet als Weihnachtsgeschenke eignen.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
