Bei kleinen Bewegungseinheiten im Alltag waren die BewohnerInnen des Pflegewohnheims Rosenhain mit Begeisterung dabei.

Sport-Studierende der Uni Graz entwickeln Bewegungstraining für BewohnerInnen von Pflegeheimen.

Im Rahmen des Projekts "lebenslang fit - mach mit" und der Lehrveranstaltung "Projektorganisation" gestalteten Studierende der Karl-Franzens-Universität den Alltag der BewohnerInnen im Pflegewohnheim Rosenhain aktiver. "Bewegung und vor allem der Spaß am Turnen in der Gruppe fördern die körperliche Gesundheit und die geistige Fitness", erklärt Sylvia Titze vom Institut für Sportwissenschaft, die die Lehrveranstaltung leitet.

Die Studierenden hielten dreimal pro Woche Bewegungseinheiten mit den SeniorInnen ab und erstellten unter Einbeziehung der AlltagsbetreuerInnen und des Pflegepersonals eine Broschüre - als Anregung, Erleichterung und Anleitung, damit die BewohnerInnen weiterhin regelmäßige Bewegungsstunden durchführen können. Heute Vormittag wurde dieser 44 Seiten starke Leitfaden bei einer Abschlussfeier überreicht.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
